Erath-Funeral services will be conducted at David Funeral Home in Erath on Saturday, February 3, 2007 at 11 am for Ozite Lange Richard, 91. The Rev. Paul Onuegbe will conduct the funeral service with burial to follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery in Erath. The family requests that visitation be observed Friday, February 2, 2007 from 11:30 am till 9pm and continue Saturday from 9am till time of service. A rosary will be prayed at 7pm of Friday. Mrs. Ozite was born on December 8, 1915 in Erath, La. and went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 1, 2007 at 3:40 pm at Abbeville General Hospital in Abbeville. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Churchs Ladys Altar Society. She is survived by two daughters, Glorine R. LeBlanc and her husband Dallas of Erath, and Florence Flo Trahan and her husband Nason of Maurice; her son, Donald J. Richard of New Orleans. She is also survived by four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Mollaire Shone Richard, her father,Aurelie Lange and her mother, Alice Richard Lange, her brothers, Weby Lange, Vernice Coon Lange, Wiley Lange, her sisters, Odite Trahan, Rita LeBlanc, Doretha LeBlanc, Olia Guidry, Verna Delahoussaye, and Opal Lange. Serving as pallbearers will be family members while Ms. Ozites great grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family would like to express a special word of gratitiude to Doctors Hutchinson, Ardley Hebert, and LeBouef of Hospice of Acadiana. Also, a special word of thanks to the staff and doctors of Hospice of Acadiana, to the staff of Maison de Monde Nursing Facility, to the physical speech therapist, the occupational therapist, and to those who were special friends of Ms. Ozite for their kind and wonderful care and love which they have shown their mother through her illness.
