Jeanerette"A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Charles J. C.J. Hebert, 87, of Jeanerette will be celebrated on Thursday, June 29, 2006 at 10:30 A.M. in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. The Reverend Charles Langlois will serve as celebrant. Interment with military rites conducted by New Iberia Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1982 will follow in St. John the Evangelist Cemetery. Visitation will be held in David Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 28, 2006 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 P.M. Visitation will continue on Thursday from 8:00 A.M. until service time in the funeral home. Mr. Hebert passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2006 at 6:55 P.M. in a Jeanerette care facility. Mr. Hebert was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, where he served on the Rosary Group and belonged to the Come Along Jesus Group. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in World War II. Mr. Hebert was known to all as a caring person. Survivors include a niece, Deanna Blanchard of Huntsville, AL and a nephew, Ronald Dato of Needsville, TX. Preceding Mr. Hebert in death are his wife, Gloria Guillotte Hebert and his parents, Edmay (Mamie) and Joseph Hebert. Serving as pallbearers are Mandy L. Parria, Michael P. Parria, Jr., Frank H. Parria, Sr., Glenn Parria, Dustin J. Parria, and Erika K. Degeytaire. David Funeral Home of Jeanerette is in charge of arrangements.
