Jeanerette.Funeral services for George Big George M. Derise, 28 will conducted Saturday July 1, 2006 at 11:00 AM at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Mark Derise officiating. Interment will follow in St. John The Evangelist Cemetery. Visiting hours will be observed Friday June 30 from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM and will resume Saturday July 1 from 8:00 AM until time of services. A rosary will be prayed Friday June 30 at 7:00 PM in the funeral home. Mr. Derise died Wednesday June 28, 2006 at 1:20 AM in a New Iberia Hospital. Mr. Derise was a native of New Iberia and a resident of Jeanerette. He was a D.J.. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and was an avid sports fan. He was a loving father, son, brother, and friend. Mr. Derise is survived by his father, Kim Derise of Jeanerette, La. And his mother Nanette Sonnier of New Iberia, One Son, Trey Dugan of St. Martinville, La., Three brothers, Dwayne Derise of Jeanerette, La., Wayne Derise of Avery Island, La., and Tyler Sonnier of New Iberia, La., One sister, Laurie L. Derise of Humble, Texas, his Godfather Father Mark Derise of New Iberia, his Godmother Elizabeth Hebert of Jeanerette, La., One nephew Cole Hebert of Avery Island, La. And Two nieces, Brooklynn Derise of Avery Island, La., and Maci Derise also of Avery Island, La. Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Ted Derise, Neil Soileau, Dr. Brock Barras, Chad Kojak Segura, Larry Gaudet, John Frederick, Russell Baldie Dessell, Leo Simon and Brandon Seiley. Honored to serve as honorary pallbearers will be Dwayne Derise, Wayne Derise, Tyler Soinnier, Trey Dugan, Corey Broussard, Randy Segura, Jr., Devin Gaudet, Drew Hebert, Tommy Frederick, and Uncle Terry Derise.
