Lafayette - Funeral Services for Jerry Paul Fitch, 41, will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Thursday, July 13, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. with Fr. Peter Emusa officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Wednesday, July 12, 2006 from 10:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. Visitation will resume on Thursday, July 13, 2006 at 8:00A.M. until the services. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Mr. Fitch a native of Franklin died Saturday, July 8, 2006 at 5:40 A.M. at Grand Isle, LA Mr. Jerry lived his life the way he wanted and definitely lived it to the fullest. Life was never dull around him and he will be sadly missed but will remain forever in our hearts and in our minds.Mr. Fitch worked in the oilfield for many years and was a former little league coach for the Broussard and Youngsville Youth Association. He is survived by his parents, Joseph Fitch,I of Amelia, and Diane Fitch of Broussard; the mother of his children, Goldie Fitch of Lafayette; two sons, Jacob Paul Fitch and his wife Jennifer Fitch of Broussard and Joshua Robert Fitch of Broussard; one daughter, Jamie Renee Fitch of Broussard; two brothers, Joseph Ambrose Fitch Jr. and his wife Lisa Fitch of Broussard and Billy Ray Fitch and his wife Connie Fitch of Broussard; two sisters, Cheryl Ann Fitch Bringman and her husband Bobby of Broussard and Tammy Marie Gordy and her husband Darryll Gordy of New Iberia ; step-mother, Tammy Sue Fitch of Amelia; four step-sisters, Bonnie Bates of Paterson, Brandy Fitch of Amelia, Bobbie Fitch of Amelia, and Amanda Fitch of Amelia; two step-brothers, Joseph Fitch of Breaux Bridge, and Alvin Fitch of Amelia; one grandson, Jordan Christian Paul Fitch of Broussard; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Fitch is preceded in death by his sister, Carol Ann Fitch; paternal grandparents, Joseph Fitch and Virginia Billiot Fitch; and maternal grandparents, Alfred Palombo and June Alves Palombo. David Funeral Home of Lafayette is in charge of arrangements.
