Jeanerette " Funeral Services will be conducted for Mr. Robert Perez, Sr., age 82, at 1:00PM Tuesday February 27, 2007 at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Ed Degeyter officiating. Interment will follow in St. Johns Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday February 26, 2007 from 5:00PM till 10:00PM with a Rosary at 6:30PM and again Tuesday from 8:00AM till time of service.

Mr. Perez was a native and lifelong resident of Jeanerette and a retired carpenter. He always enjoyed being with his family.

Survivors include three sons; Tex John Perez of New Iberia, Robert Perez, Jr. and wife Sylvia of Lafayette and Paul Perez and wife Nedra of Jeanerette, nine daughters; Elma Ann Sonnier and husband Walter of New Iberia, Marie Derouen and husband Charles of Mesa, Arizona, Elizabeth Lancon of Jeanerette, Pat Broussard and husband Michael of Coteau, Lydia Dabney and husband Timothy of Woodbridge, Virginia, Brenda Derouen and husband Elwood of Jeanerette, Janice Bourgeois and Abby Perez both of Jeanerette and Lori Horn and husband Mark of New Iberia, one brother; John Perez of Texas, four sisters; Lydia Perez of Jeanerette, Albertine Courville of New Iberia, Bertha Louviere of Jeanerette and Olive Lee of New Iberia, 28 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Antoinette Duhon Perez, his parents; Jean and Eva Leger Perez, brothers and sisters; Isadore Leger, Elton Perez, Joseph Perez, Vedier Perez, Jean Marie Perez, Gloria Gifford, Inez Borel, Lena Leger, Ida Darby and Cora Migues and two sons in laws Chris Lancon and Harold Bourgeois.

Pallbearers will be Tex Perez, Robert Perez, Jr., Paul Perez, Craig Perez, Mark Horn and Mike Brousssard. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Derouen, Elwood Derouen, Tim Dabney, Coy Horn, Christopher Broussard, Brent Broussard, Charles Derouen, Jr., Chet Derouen, Evan Perez, Robert Charles Perez, Derek Perez and Timothy Dabney, Jr.
