Lydia, LA " Funeral services will be conducted for James Lee Patin Thibodeaux, Sr., 70 on Friday, July 21, 2006 at 12 Noon at St. Nicholas Catholic Church with Msgr. Jace Eskind and Rev. Richard Fabre officiating. Interment will follow in St. Nicholas Mausoleum in Patoutville. Visitation was at the St. Nicholas Life Center on Thursday, July 20, 2006 from 5:00 PM until10:00 PM and resumed on Friday, July 21, 2006 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church from 8:00 AM till services. A rosary was prayed on Thursday evening at 7:00 PM. A native of Weeks Island, LA and a resident of Lydia, LA, Mr. Thibodeaux died on Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at 9:37 PM at his residence. He retired as a Purchasing Agent from Morton Salt Company after being employed at Morton Salt Mine for 44 years. While employed at Morton Salt Mine he was a member of the mine rescue team. He was a former member of the Jacyees, coached Little League Baseball and was a member of the Morton Salt Softball Team. The family would like to express their thanks to Hospice of Acadiana for the care given to Mr. Thibodeaux. He is survived by his wife, Ruby Chauvin Thibodeaux of Lydia, LA; his son, James Thibodeaux, Jr. and his wife Bonnie of Rynella, LA; his daughter, Bernadine Bunny Rogers and her husband Billy Rogers, Sr. of Baldwin, LA; his son, Bret Thibodeaux of Lydia, LA; his son, Troy Thibodeaux and his wife Marilyn of Jeanerette, LA; his brother, Rene Sonny Thibodeaux of Lake Charles, LA; his brother, Lawrence Kolo Thibodeaux of Lydia, LA; his grandchildren, Chandra Chauvin and her husband Lynn of Charenton, LA, Jason Thibodeaux and his wife Tiffany of Rynella, LA, Josh Thibodeaux of Rynella, LA, Tiffany Pontiff and her husband Benjamin of Franklin, LA, Erica Isbell and her husband Josh of Ragelly, LA, Ashley Thibodeaux of Lydia, LA, Joel Thibodeaux of Rynella, LA, Chase Thibodeaux of Lydia, LA, Jordan Thibodeaux of Rynella, LA and Billy Rogers, Jr. of Baldwin, LA; his step-grandson, PO1 Nick Collitti, US Coast Guard of Cape May, NJ; his great grandchildren, Justin Chauvin, Kaitlyn Chauvin both of Charenton, LA, Morgan Pontiff of Franklin, LA, Carson Thibodeaux of Rynella, LA, Hayden Isbell of Ragella, LA, Lauren Chauvin and Landen Chauvin both of Charenton, LA and two step-great grandchildren Abagail Collitti and Nicholas Colletti both of Cape May, NJ. He was preceded in death by his father, Rene Thibodeaux, Sr.; mother, Celeste Tevay Thibodeaux; brothers, Oscar O.T. Thibodeaux and Adolph Dolphie Thibodeaux and his step-mother, Mim Thibodeaux. Pallbearers were James Thibodeaux, Jr., Troy Thibodeaux, Randy Picou, Josh Thibodeaux, Chase Thibodeaux and Billy Rogers, Jr.. Honorary pallbearers were Bret Thibodeaux, his grandchildren, his great grandchildren, Ray Picou, Paulette Broussard and Todd Thibodeaux.
