Loving Husband, Father and Grandfather Jeanerette " Memorial services will be conducted for John William Blackburn, 56 on Saturday, July 22, 2006 in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Bobby Newsom officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday, July 22, 2006 at David Funeral Home in Jeanerette from 10:00 AM till services. A native of Panama City, FL and a resident of Jeanerette, LA he died on Tuesday, July 18, 2006 at 5:45 PM in Jeanerette, LA He was a construction manager for LeBlanc Construction, an avid sports fan, loved salt water fishing, duck hunting and loved children. He is survived by his wife, Katherine Blackburn of Jeanerette, LA; his son, Nicholas DeMuro of Baton Rouge, LA; his brother, Samuel Blackburn, Jr. of Plaquemine, LA; his grandsons, Anthony and Aiden DeMuro both of Baton Rouge, LA and his step-brothers, Buddy Gill of Grayson, LA and Ronnie Gill of Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Will Blackburn, Sr. and his mother, Martha Holman Marted. David Funeral Home of Jeanerette, LA is in charge of arrangements.
