View Video Tribute New Iberia " Brian Andrew Slack, Age 30, of Lafayette, La. passed away Monday Morning as a result of a motor cycle accident. Brian was born in Natick, MA. And lived in Lafayette, La. He was a 1993 graduate of Bartlett High School. Following high school he enlisted in the Army. When his enlistment was up he started work in the oilfield in southern Louisiana. He worked his way up from deckhand, then engineer and finally as the captain of the Miss Caroline , an offshore utility boat. Brian was a special person to many people. He had an infectious sense of humor. He cared about others more than himself and was a true friend to many. Brian will be truly missed by his many friends and especially his family. Brian is survived by his parents Michael and Sara Slack of Bartlett, Tennessee and many aunts, uncles and cousins. A memorial service will be held at Forest Hills Funeral Home on Whitten Road in Memphis Saturday July 29, 2006 at 2:00PM. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home in New Iberia starting Tuesday July 25, 2006 from 3:00PM till 10:00PM and again Wednesday from 8:00AM till 1:30PM. A rosary will be recited Tuesday at 7:00PM in the funeral home. David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
