New Iberia " Services for Mr. Elmo J. Mo Flores, 76, will be conducted Tuesday, August 22, 2006,at 4:00PM at David Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Jimmy Wilson officiating. Entombment will follow in Memorial Park Mausoleum in New Iberia.
Visiting hours will be observed on Monday, August 21, 2006, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 AM., August 22, 2006, and a rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM on Monday, August 21, 2006 at David Funeral Home. Visitation will resume Tuesday, August 22, 2006, at 8:00 AM until the time of service.
A native of Coteau and a residence of New Iberia, Mr. Flores died at 1:50 AM Monday, August 21, 2006, at his residence in New Iberia.
Mr. Flores retired from the offshore Cenac Boat Towing Company as a Tankman, where he was employed for 49 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, music, bush hogging, chasing women and drinking beer.
He is survived by his two sons, Wayne Flores and his wife Mabel of St. Martinville and Allen Flores and his wife Tracie of Gheens, La.; three daughters, Lisa Flores Viator and her husband Bow, Diane Segura and her husband Kevin of New Iberia and Sarah Bonaventure and her husband Donald Mayeaux of New Iberia; two brothers, LeRoy Flores of St. Martinville and Roy Flores of New Iberia; one sister, Gloria Dupuy of Erath; his sister-in-law, Barbara Flores of New Iberia; his grandchildren, Laurie, Kim, Lil Morris, Chancey, Lil Timmy, Ashley, Chase, Brandi, Briattney, Lil Allen, Misty, T-Wayne, Joshua, Tifty and Bubba.
Mr. Flores was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Mae Miller Flores; parents, Otta Joseph Flores and Alida Hulin Flores; one daughter, Juanita Flores; one son, Allen James Flores; one brother, Ulgier Flores and two sisters, Bertha Johnson and Aline Flores; sister-in-law, Marose Flores and two brother-in-laws, Gaston Dupuy and Kernies Johnson.
Pallbearers will be Damian Flores, Wayne Flores Jr., Josha Flores, Timmy Hulin, Lil Allen Flores and Morris Charpentier Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kevin Segura and E.J. Ozane.
David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of the arrangements.
