Erath " A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mrs. Maxie Dore the former Irene Colomb, 77, on Saturday, October 21, 2006 at 11:00AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Fr. Douglas Courville officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Erath on Friday, October 20, 2006 from 4:00PM until 10:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday, October 21, 2006 from 8:00AM until the time of services. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum. Mrs. Dore a native of Vermilion Parish and a resident of Erath died on Thursday, October 19, 2006 at 6:40PM at a New Iberia Nursing Home. She was a LPN for over 40 years having worked at the Erath Hospital, and the Morris Lahasky Nursing Home. She was a devoted Catholic and was a member of the Catholic Daughters. She is survived by her two daughters, Barbara and her husband Bradley Mergist of Erath, and Judy and her husband Kenneth Broussard of New Iberia; two sisters, Louise Landry of Lafayette, and Velta Guillotte of New Iberia; four brothers, John Colomb of Delcambre, Presley, Lester, and Dalton Colomb all of Erath; six Grandchildren, Janeen and her husband Tracy LeBlanc of Abbeville, Jason and his wife Missy Broussard of Covington, Renee and her husband Jim Marx of Wisconsin, Shane and his wife Sheila Broussard of Abilene, TX, Mary and her husband Dax Dupre of Eunice, and Gabrielle Mergist of Erath; and ten great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Maxie Dore; her parents, Andrew and Anaciale Touchet Colomb; and a great grandchild, Devon LeBlanc Pallbearers will be family and friends of Mrs. Dore David Funeral Home of Erath will be handling the arrangements
