James Mouton

June 15, 1925 — August 24, 2006

New Iberia.A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated for Mr. James Jim Mouton, Age 81 at 10:00 AM on Saturday August 26 at Nativity Of Our Lady Catholic Church with Fr. Mike Arnaud officiating. Interment will follow in Nativity Of Our Lady Mausoleum. A rosary will be prayed Friday August 25 at 7:00 PM. Visiting hours will be observed on Friday August 25 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and will resume Saturday August 26 from 8:00 AM until time of services. Mr. Mouton was native of Breaux Bridge and a resident of Coteau at the time of his death. He was a veteran of WW II and the Korean War. He loved his country and served in proudly. He was a great dad, husband, grandfather and neighbor. He enjoyed fishing , yard work and gardening. He was a retired welder. He is survived by one daughter, Donna M. Decou and her husband Butch of Coteau, two sons, Tony Mouton and his wife Cathy Skeeter Mouton of Coteau and Jimmy Mouton and his fiance Deborah Bone of Lafayette, One brother, David Mouton of New Iberia, and One sister, Loula Denson and her husband Glen of New Iberia, Eight grandchildren, Brannon Decou, Jarret Mouton, Joshua Mouton, Jacob Mouton, Andrew Mouton, Lauria Mouton, Sarah Mouton, and Emmy Mouton and Two Great grandchildren, Alana Decou and Britney Decou. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Hollier Mouton, his parents Sidney Mouton, Sr. and Rena Thibodeaux Mouton, Two brothers, Sidney Mouton, Jr. and Clifton Mouton, and Two sisters, Henrietta Duplantis, Vivian Mouton, and one sister in law, Irene Mouton. Serving as pallbearers will be Butch Decou, Brannon Decou, Joshua Mouton, Jacob Mouton, Andrew Mouton and Clark Mouton. David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of funeral arrangements.
