New Iberia"A Mass of Christian Burial for Wayne Mike Haydell, 61, of New Iberia will be celebrated on Friday, September 8, 2006 at 3:00 P.M. in David Funeral Home Chapel. The Reverend Steve LeBlanc will serve as celebrant. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 8, 2006 from 10:00 A.M. until service time in David Funeral Home. Mr. Haydell passed away on Wednesday, September 06, 2006 at 7:53 A.M. in his New Iberia residence. A native of New Iberia, Mr. Haydell had lived in Lake Charles for 25 years before returning to his hometown. He retired from Center Point Energy after 40 years of service in May 2006 as a Division Measurement Supervisor. Mr. Haydell enjoyed spending time on the computer, working with electronics equipment, and photography. Mr. Haydell leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife, Darlene Frazier Haydell of New Iberia; sons, Michael Wayne Haydell, Sr. and wife, Debra of East Jordan, MI and Patrick David Haydell and wife, Monica of Lake Charles; step-daughter, Kimberly Marie Frazier of Boulder City, NV; parents, Freddie G. Haydell, Sr. and Doris DeCoux Haydell of New Iberia; brother, Freddie G. Haydell, Jr. and wife, Diane of New Iberia; sister, Pauline Haydell Badeaux and husband, Jeff of New Iberia; and grandchildren, Ashley Lauren Haydell of Ragley, Justin Paul Haydell of Ragley, Michael Wayne Haydell, Jr. of East Jordan, MI, and Danielle Marie Haydell of East Jordan, MI. Serving as pallbearers are Justin, Michael, Corey, Mark, and Brad Haydell and Bart Badeaux. The family has requested that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society. .
