LOVING MOTHER, GRANDMOTHER, AND GREAT-GRANDMOTHER
New Iberia"A Funeral Service celebrating the life of Mrs. Francis Joseph Hebert, the former Ida Segura, 92, of New Iberia will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. in David Funeral Home Chapel. The Reverend Mr. Jimmy Wilson will officiate. Entombment will follow in Holy Family Mausoleum.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2006 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:30 P.M. in David Funeral Home, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. Visitation will continue on Thursday from 8:00 A.M. until service time in the funeral home.
Mrs. Hebert passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at 2:38 P.M. in her New Iberia residence.
A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Hebert was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. She and her late husband were avid dancers, even going so far as to close in their garage in order to have a place to dance. Mrs. Hebert enjoyed listening to music, cooking, and visiting with friends and family. In her younger days, Mrs. Hebert enjoyed fishing with her family.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her sons, Herbert Charles Hebert and wife, Gabrielle, and Gerald James Hebert of New Iberia; daughter, Cynthia Hebert Dake and husband, Mike of New Iberia; grandchildren, Brett Hebert and wife, Anne of Loreauville, Chris Hebert of Youngsville, Gabrielle Trotter and husband, Jonathan of New Iberia, Stephanie DePrima and husband, R.J. of New Iberia, Linda Finley of Baton Rouge, David Finley and wife, Maggie of Baton Rouge, Marc Hebert and wife, Amie of Moss Bluff, Anne Leblanc and husband, Nick of Parks, and Jennifer Hebert of New Iberia; and great-grandchildren, Anthony, Casey, and Bryant Hebert of Loreauville, Samual and Daniel Trotter of New Iberia, Haley and Jude Hebert of Youngsville, Stephen Boudreaux of New Iberia, Ian DePrima of New Iberia, Ashley, Aaron, and Jacob Finley of Baton Rouge, Madalyn, Adrienne, and Marc Thomas Hebert II of Moss Bluff, and Lexie Suriyadeth of New Iberia.
Preceding Mrs. Hebert in death are her husband, Francis Joseph Hebert; parents, William J. and Irma Leleux Segura Hebert; sisters, Amelia Segura Armentor and LeDee Segura Moulis; and brothers, George, Maxie, and Dennis Segura.
Serving as pallbearers are Brett, Chris, Marc, Anthony, Herbert, and Gerald Hebert.
David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
