Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather & Great Grandfather New Iberia " Funeral services will be conducted for Wilmer J. Suire, 76 on Monday, Oct. 2, 2006 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Loreauville with Fr. Paul Onuegbe officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Family Mausoleum in New Iberia. Military graveside rites will be conducted by V.F.W. Post 1982 of New Iberia. Visitation will begin on Sunday, Oct. 1, 2006 at 8:00 AM until 9:00 PM and re-open on Monday, Oct. 2, 2006 at 8:00 AM until services. A rosary will be recited in the funeral home on Sunday evening at 6:00 PM. A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mr. Suire died on Friday, Sept. 29, 2006 at his residence. He was the founder and owner of Superior Valve Machine and Casting, Inc. and began its operation in 1975. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served in the US Army, a member of V.F.W. Post 1982 and American Legion Post 4 both of New Iberia. Mr. Suire enjoyed traveling, singing, dancing and spending time with family and friends. He was a very special person and wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank Southern Care Hospice and a special caregiver, Virginia Rogers for the care given to Mr. Suire. He is survived by his wife, Doris T. Suire; his son, Michael Suire and his wife Jodie; his daughter, Susan S. Landry and her husband Jerry; his daughter-in-law, Jill Hebert Suire; his grand daughters, Nicole Estis and her husband John, Lauren Suire, Emily Suire; his grandson, Dustin Suire; his grand daughter, Erin Suire; his grandsons, Jordy Suire, Clint Landry, Jason Landry; his grand daughter, Kelli Landry; great grandson, Jacob Estis; his brother, Presley Suire and his sisters, Velva Barrilleaux, Rose Delcambre and Ella Mae Trahan all of New Iberia. He was preceded in death by his father, Alexis Suire; his mother, Edna Bourque Suire; his son, Mickey Suire; and his brother Percy Suire. Pallbearers will be Clint Landry, Jason Landry, Dustin Suire, Jordy Suire, John Estis and Johnny Suire. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Suire, Pershing Broussard, Vincent Guidry, Cloures Dugas, Unell Verret and Davy Dore. David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
