LOVING MOTHER AND GRANDMOTHER

Jeanerette"A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Adam Collins, the former Lena Leonard, 71, will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. The Reverend Ed Degeyter will serve as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be held in David Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 3, 2006 from 12:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M., with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 P.M. Visitation will continue on Wednesday from 8:00 A.M. until service time in the funeral home.

A native of St. Mary Parish and former resident of Jeanerette, Mrs. Collins passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2006 in her Kinder residence.

Mrs. Collins enjoyed bingo, playing cards, and going to the casino. She loved to cook for her family and friends.

Survivors include her sons, Tommy Collins and wife, Michelle of Jeanerette, and Rickey Collins and wife, Sonia of Krotz Springs; daughter, Patsy Domingue of Breaux Bridge; and a brother, Freddie Leonard of Alexandria. Mrs. Collins is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Preceding Mrs. Collins in death are her husband, Adam Collins, Sr.; parents, Sidney and Etma Picard Leonard; son, Adam Collins, Jr.; brothers, Sidney Paul Leonard, Jessie Leonard, and Jimmy Leonard; and sisters, Jeanette Darden, Mable Landry, Lydia Lil Owens, Lucy Savoie, and LaDee Savoie.

Serving as pallbearers are Tommy Collins, Rickey Collins, Adam Domingue, Rusty Domingue, Gary Courville, and Brian Castille. Named as honorary pallbearers are Kyle Carlisle, Tony Darden, ONeil Darden, and Roy Darden, Jr.

David Funeral Home of Jeanerette is in charge of arrangements.
