New Iberia " Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Joseph Willie Prejean, Age 74, at 10:00AM Thursday October 26, 2006 at 10:00AM at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00PM Wednesday. Visitation will begin Wednesday October 25, 2006 from 10:00AM till 9:00PM. and again Thursday from 8:00AM till service time. She died Tuesday at 6:16AM in local hospital. A native of Opelousas she has been a resident of New Iberia for many years. She loved cooking, sewing, canning and making New Iberia Boudin. Survivors include her husband Joseph Willie Prejean; two daughters, Brenda P. Boutte of Newnan, Ga. and Mary Lisa P. Delcambre and husband Amadee Jr. of New Iberia; three sisters and one brother, Delores M. Dies of Gonzales, Shirley M. Guillory and Barbara M. Nero both of Crowley and Paul B. Miller of Lafayette; grandchildren, Michelle B. Clark and husband Paul, Marcia B. Kinsey and Melanie Boutte all of Newnan, Ga., Kyle Mestayer of Sulphur, Sarah P. Nieman and husband Josh of Lafayette and Benjamin J. Aman of Grand Prarie, Texas; great-grandchildren, Ty Landry, Wyatt Kinsey, Sydney Kinsey and Kaliegh Clark all of Newnan, Ga. and one expected great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Spivey and Bertha Bearb Miller, a daughter Kathy Mestayer, son-in-law Allen P. Boutte, a sister Corita M. Hanks and a great-grandson Cody M. Kinsey. Pallbearers will be Joshua Nieman, Amadee P. Delcambre, Jr., Kyle Mestayer, Alex Hays, Clifford Dies and Dennie Dworaczyk. Honorary pallbearers will be Darrell Miller and Ricky Begnaud. David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
