Lafayette " Funeral services will be held for Lloyd Hebert, 83 on Saturday, October 28, 2006 at 10 am at St. Anne Catholic Church in Youngsville. The Rev. Louis Vu will conduct the funeral service with burial to follow at St. Anne Church Cemetery in Youngsville. The family requests that visitation be held Friday, October 27, 2006 from 11 am till 9 pm and continue Saturday from 8 am till service. A rosary will be prayed Friday evening at 7 pm at David Funeral Home in Lafayette.
Mr. Hebert was born in Youngsville on January 23, 1923 and went to be with the Lord in Youngsville at his residence on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 7:16 am. Lloyd was a resident in Orange, Texas for 35 years. He was employed by American Bridge division of U.S. Steel for 34 years until his retirement in 1977. Lloyd enjoyed working in his vegetable garden and growing roses. He also had cattle a number of years following his retirement. Lloyd was an active member of the Knights of Columbus.
Lloyd is survived by his four daughters, Gail Savoy and her husband Ray of Youngsville, Karen Trahan and her husband Fleet of Okinawa, Japan, Phyllis Hebert and Terri Hebert, both of Houston, TX; one grandson, David Savoy of Atlanta GA; two grand daughters, Staci Spisak and her husband Bill of Lafayette, and Susan Codina and her husband Chris of Youngsville; four step great grandchildren Colin and Katie Codina of Youngsville and Jeremy and Aubrey Spisak of Lafayette.
He is preceded in death by his wife Edia Picard Hebert, his father, Etienne Hebert and his mother, Alodia Denais.
Serving as pallbearers will be David Savoy, Chris Codina, Colin Codina, Bill Spisak, Jeremy Spisak and Ronnie Savoy. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Ray Savoy.
