New Iberia " Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Adam Bonin, the former Mazy Bertrand, Age 86 on Tuesday December 5, 2006 at 2:00 PM in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Father Mario Romero officiating. Entombment will follow in St. Johns Cemetery in Jeanerette. Mrs. Bonin died Sunday December 3, 2006 at 4:45 AM at her daughters New Iberia residence. Visiting hours will be observed on Monday December 4, 2006 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and will resume Tuesday Decmeber 5, 2006 from 8:00 AM until time of services. A rosary will be prayed Monday December 4, 2006 at 6:30 PM. Mrs. Bonin was born in St. Martin Parish and was a former resident of Weeks Island and Lydia and was residing in New Iberia at the time of her death. She was a retired cafateria employee with the Iberia Parish School System, having worked at Grand Marais Elementary for 15 years.. She was a very family oriented person and enjoyed caring for her family. She is survived by a daughter Betty B. Broussard and her husband Wayne, Sr. of New Iberia ,her grandchildren Dean Broussard and his wife Yvonne of New Iberia, Wayne Broussard, Jr., of Loreauville, Terri Derouen and her husband Tommy, Sr., of Patoutville, Yvette Foreman and her husand Troy of Broussard, Larry Bonin, Jr. and his wife Leslie and Molly Chiasson both of Loreauville. And her special caregivers Ernestine Reeves and Ruthine Daniels. Also surviving are 10 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Adam Bonin, her parents, Arvelian Bertrand and Alzire Mendoza Bertrand, her son, Larry Bonin, Sr., her brothers Isaac Bertrand, Emile Bertrand, Sr., Andrew Bertrand, Arthemond Bertrand, and Smith Bertrand, her sisters Eve Champagne and Anna Gautreaux, her granddaughter in law, Angelle Broussard and a great grandchild Kaleigh Louviere. Serving as pallbearers will be Dean Brousssard, Wayne Broussard, Jr.., Larry Broussard, Jr., Kenneth Louviere, III, Joshua Byrom and Quincy Broussard.
