Loreauville " Funeral Services will be conducted for Mr. Lloyd G. Broussard , Age 81 at 11:00 AM Thursday November 9, 2006 at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Loreauville with Fr. Mario Romero officiating. Interment will follow in St. Josephs Cemetery.

Mr. Broussard died Monday November 6, 2006 at 4:07 AM at his residence in Loreauville. Visiting hours will be observed Wednesday November 8, 2006 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will resume Thursday November 9, 2006 from 8:00 AM until time of services. A rosary will be prayed Wednesday November 8, 2006 at 7:00 PM

A native of Iberia Parish and a resident of Loreauville. Mr. Broussard was employed with Shell Oil Company for 22 years. He was the retired owner of Loreauville Ventures, a Geophysical Enterprise for 14 years. He was also a retired safety director for Breauxs Bay Craft. During his retirement he had a farm where he raised horses, cattle and sheep. He enjoyed trail rides, and attending festivals and dances with friends, listening to good music and dancing the night away with Anne. He was a member of St. Josephs Catholic Church, Woodmen of the World Camp #516, Knights of Columbus Council 4676, U.S. Marine Corps League. He served on the board of directors of LaSalette Memorial Hospital. He proudly served his country during WW II as a Master Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps in the Pacific Theatre. He was also a member of the Civil Defense, and the Loreauville Auxillary Police Dept. Military graveside honors will be conducted by the V.F.W. Post 1982 Honor Guard.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years Anne Granger Broussard of Loreauville, One Son, Blaine Broussard and his wife Michelle of Loreauville, One daughter, Cheryle Broussard Johnson and her husband Wayne of Lafayette, Two brothers, Martin Lee Broussard and his wife Jean of St. Martinville and Edmond Ray Broussard of New Iberia, Three sisters, Rita B. Segura of New Iberia, Elsie B. Bazer of Batchelor, La. and Juliette Perrin and her husband Millard (Foy)M.D. of Chattanooga, TN., Grandchildren, Kyle P. Broussard and his wife Sarah of New Iberia, Ashley J. Bell and her husband Brady of Dallas, TX, Christina J. Hurley and her husband Mark of Roswell, GA, Captain Jonathan S. Johnson, US Army stationed in Bagdad, Iraq, Two sister-in-laws, Myrtle G. Mestayer and her husband Forbus of Loreauville and Margaret Broussard of Houston, TX., Brother in Law Bernie Granger and his wife Evelyn of Patterson,.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon Rule Broussard and Isaure Marie Broussard, Twin daughter, Cherylyn Jean Broussard, a brother, Oswald Broussard and sisters, Camille Broussard and Lorraine B. Breaux.

Serving as pallbearers will be Kyle P. Broussard, Captain Jonathan S. Johnson, Wayne S. Johnson, Gaston L. Broussard, Eugene A. Segura, Matthew L. Broussard, and Lonny C. Breaux
