Secondary Heading: Loving Father and Grandfather Jeanerette- Funeral Services will be conducted for Mr. Lawrence Dooley, Age 88, at 10:00AM Tuesday November 21, 2006 at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Ed Degeyter officiating. Interment will follow in St. Johns Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday November 20, 2006 from 3:00PM till 9:00PM with at Rosary at 6:30PM and again Tuesday from 8:00AM till service time. Mr. Dooley died Sunday November 19, 2006 at 10:05AM at his residence. A native of Iberia Parish Mr. Dooley has been a resident of Jeanerette most of his life. He retired from Cabot Corporation after 27 years of service as a welder. He was a member of The Knights of Columbus Council 1425 of Jeanerette. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved dancing and gardening. Survivors include one daughter; Mary Anne Corcoran and her husband James of Alabama and two sons; Vernon Dooley and wife Loretta of Erath and Michael Dooley of Iberia Parish. Grandchildren; Chris Marcotte and husband Jerry, Sr. of Jeanerette, Elizabeth Darce and husband Glen of Plaucheville, La., James Thibodeaux and wife Paget of Franklin, Leah Weimer and husband Eric of Richmond, Virginia, Ross Dooley and wife Tisha of Baton Rouge, Beau Dooley of Wooster Ohio and Claire Bourque and husband Brent of Iberia Parish. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Cecile Landry Dooley; parents, Eli Boon and Louise Hebert Dooley; 4 brothers, Dewey, Whitney, Francis and Virgis Dooley; three sisters Addie Cunningham, Mable Serpas and Mathilde Martin. Pallbearers will be Ross Dooley, Patrick Marcotte, James Thibodeaux, Brent Bourque, Glen Darce and Mark Beslin. David Funeral Home of Jeanerette is in charge of arrangements.
