Erath " A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. David Morvant the former Roxane Benoit, 38, will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Fr. Wayne Duet officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Erath beginning on Tuesday, February 19, 2008 from 5:00PM until 10:00PM with recitations of the rosary at 6:00PM and 7:30PM. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 from 8:00AM until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery.

Mrs. Morvant a native of Erath a resident of Youngsville died at 4:10PM on Monday, February 18, 2008 at Abbeville. She was known for devoting her life to her children, caring for the ill and also caring for her pets.

She is survived by her husband, David Morvant of Youngsville; a son, Matthew Morvant of Youngsville; a daughter, Miranda Morvant and her fiance Jason Arceneaux of Erath; her parents, Alvin and Gloria Duplantis Benoit of Erath; a brother, Ryan Benoit and his Fiance Annette Boudreaux of Erath; paternal grandmother, Annie Mae Benoit of Erath.

She is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Wilson Lloyd Benoit, Sr.; her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Duplantis; her god father, Leewood Trahan; and her god mother, Ruby Falgout.

Serving as pallbearers will be Dave Falgout, Jason Arceneaux, Joseph Morvant, Jr., Bryan Corcoran, Tony Richard, and Matthew Morvant.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Keith Landry, Tony Pennison, Sr., Rene Pennison.
