LOVING WIFE, MOTHER, GRANDMOTHER, DAUGHTER, AND SISTER

Loreauville"A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Clyde Warfel, the former Darnelle Marie Mayer, 56, of Loreauville will be celebrated on Thursday, January 11, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. in St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Reverend Paul Onuegbe will serve as celebrant. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2007 from 2:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. in David Funeral Home, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. Visitation will continue on Thursday from 8:00 A.M. until service time in the funeral home.

Mrs. Warfel passed away on Tuesday, January 09, 2007 at 11:24 A.M. in her Loreauville residence.

A native of Opelousas, Mrs. Warfel was a one-time employee of Iberia Glass Company. She and her husband were owners and operators of Breaux Bridge Glass Company. Mrs. Warfel was a member of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed camping and fishing, and especially loved going to the casino. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Clyde Warfel of Loreauville; parents, Nathan and Helen Fontenot Mayer of Youngsville; daughters, Stefanie Doucet of Youngsville and Jill Warfel and fianc, Ricky Smith of Loreauville; son, Clyde C.J. Warfel and fianc, Ambre Sonnier of Loreauville; brothers, Wayne Mayer and wife, Lupe of Handford, CA, Bobby Mayer and wife, Marlene of Loreauville, Cary Mayer and wife, Nedra of Youngsville, Ricky Mayer and wife, Laura of Youngsville, and John Mayer and wife, Robin of Youngsville; sisters, Marsha Miller and husband, Mike of Parks, Norma Louvier and husband, Raymond of Youngsville, Patsy Eyde and husband, Gary of Breaux Bridge, Debra Boutin and husband, Alton of Broussard, Cindy Ross and husband, Benny of Henderson, and Regina Porrier and husband, Dennis of Youngsville; grandchildren, Blake, Trey, and Taylor Doucet of Youngsville, and Shayla Warfel of Loreauville; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Preceding Mrs. Warfel in death are her brother, John Dale Mayer, sister-in-law, Clara Cassissa Mayer, and niece, Chrystal Gayle Mayer.

Serving as pallbearers are Ricky, John, Cary, Wayne, and Bobby Mayer, and Raymond Louviere.

David Funeral Home of Loreauville is in charge of arrangements.
