Erath- Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 18, 2007 at 2:30pm at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Erath for Virginia Ann DeCoux, 57. The Rev. Msgr. Douglas Courville will conduct the funeral service with burial to follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery in Erath. The family requests that visitation be observed on Wednesday, January 17, 2007 from 11 am till time of service on Thursday. A rosary will be prayed on Wednesday night at 7pm. Virginia was born in Erath on September 13, 1949 and went to be with the Lord in Philadelphia on Saturday, January 13, 2007. She was a member of the American Pool Association. She is survived by her mother, Betty Jean Romero of Erath, LA; her companion, Donna Sandridge of New Iberia, LA; a very special friend, Amanda Melancon of Erath, LA; two daughters, Raquel Romero Bourque and her husband Kevin Sr. of Abbeville, LA and Michelle Romero of Erath, LA and her companion Flynn Frederick of Kaplan, LA; her grandchildren, Jake Romero of Abbeville, LA, Taylor Bourque of Abbeville, LA, Kevin Bourque, Jr. of Abbeville, LA, Jacque Bourque of Abbeville, LA, Trey Frederick of Kaplan, LA, Cy Frederick of Kaplan, LA; her sisters, Barbara Jane DeCoux Erath, LA, and Betty A. DeCoux of Erath, LA. She was preceded in death by her father, Ollie DeCoux, a sister, Shirley DeCoux, four brothers, Curley DeCoux, Ollie Joseph DeCoux, Jr., Gayle Paul DeCoux, and David Lee DeCoux.
