Erath " A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church for Annie Belle Benoit, 61, on Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at 3:30PM. Father Wayne Duet will be officiating. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at 11:00AM until 10:00PM with a Rosary being recited by the Catholic Daughters of Erath at 4:00PM and another rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at 8:00AM until service time. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery. A native of Lafayette Parish and a resident of Erath, Miss Benoit passed away at 6:20AM on Monday, December 15, 2008 at Lafayette General Medical Center. She enjoyed going to casinos and playing Bingo. She was a good mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She is survived by her mother, Annie Mae Romero Benoit of Erath; her loving companion, Jules Babin of Abbeville; her daughters, Donna Lange and husband, Luke of Henry, Dawn Adams, Dana George and husband, Bryon, Darla Romero and husband, Corey, Michelle Allen and husband, John, all of Erath, and Laci Babin and Inez Babin of Abbeville; her sisters, Verna Taylor of Abbeville, Mary Arceneaux of Delcambre, Clara Trahan of New Iberia, Linda Landry of Erath, Nancy Broussard of Coteau, Helen Viator of Erath, Marie Janet Vincent of Abbeville, and Dianna Trahan of Erath; her brothers, Alvin Benoit, Larry Benoit and Wilson Pete Benoit, Jr., all of Erath; and her grandchildren, Jed Lange, Sabrina Thibeaux, Brittany Hebert, Sean Clay, Courtney Trahan, Kacey Richardson, Blake Landry, Christie Trahan, Jarred Lange, Blane Landry, Kobe Baker, Johneshia Allen, McKenize Allen and Devin Sam. She was preceded in death by her father, Wilson L. Benoit, Sr.; her aunt, Ruby Falgout; and her neice Megan Arceneaux. Serving as pallbearers will be Jade Viator, John Allen, Blake Landry, Blane Landry, Jules Babin and Corey Romero. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Harrington and Codey Boutte.
