March 24, 1935 — January 30, 2007

Lafayette - A Mass of Christian Burial for Annie Lou Sonnier, 71, will be held at St. Annes Catholic Church on Thursday, February 1, 2007 at 3:00PM with Fr. Louis Vu officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Thursday, February 1, 2007 from 10:00AM until the time of the services. Interment will follow at St. Annes Cemetery. Mrs. Sonnier a native of Abbeville and a resident of Broussard died on Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at 5:00AM at a Lafayette Hospital. She was a people person who made friend with anybody. She is survived by three sons, Allen Ray Sonnier of New Iberia, Ricky Sonnier of Rayne, and Ronnie James Sonnier of Lafayette; two daughters, Mona S. Edwards, and Cassandra S. Phillips both of Cade; and eight grandchildren, Steven Edwards, Jr., Crystal Edwards, Timothy Phillips, Jr., Ashley Phillips, Natascha Phillips, and Samantha Phillips all of Cade, Ronnie Sonnier, Jr., and Quintin Sonnier of Lafayette. She is also survived by one sister, Anna Belle Viator. She is preceded in death by her parents, Anatole Sonnier and Eunice Boutte Sonnier Broussard; a son, Randy J. Sonnier; four brothers, Clodie, Dunice and Dalton Sonnier and Harris Broussard. Pallbearers will be Tim Phillips, Sr., Timmy Phillips, Jr., Steve Edwards, Steven Edwards, Jr., Ronnie Sonnier, and Ricky Sonnier. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ronnie Sonnier, Jr., and Quintin Sonnier. David Funeral Home of Lafayette will be handling the arrangements
