Verna Maturin

October 28, 1928 — February 15, 2007

Lafayette " Funeral services for Verna Mae Maturin, 78, will be held on Sunday February 18, 2007 at 9:30 AM in David Funeral Home Chapel in Lafayette. Miss Maturin went to be with the Lord on February 15, 2007 at LTAC in Broussard at 9:00 PM. Officiating will be Fr. Vu. Visitation will be Saturday February 17, 2007 from 9:00 AM and continue until 9:00 PM. Visitation will resume at 8:00 AM Sunday until service time. Internment will be in St. Annes Mausoleum in Youngsville, Louisiana. Miss Maturin is survived by her son, Kendall Butch Decou and his wife Donna of Youngsville, Louisiana; her daughter, Sharon Broussard and her husband Tracey of Milton, Louisiana; her grandchildren, Stacy Lail of Lafayette, Brannon Decou of Broussard, Alicia Pitre of Youngsville, Jason Broussard of Maurice and also surviving are five great-grandchildren. Preceding Miss Maturin in death are her parents, Oleus Maturin and Ella Baudoin Maturin and one sister Levie Hebert. Pallbearers will be Butch Decou, Brannon Decou, Jason Broussard, Glynn Maturin, Shelly Maturin, Jeff Pitre, Gene LeBlanc and Greg Lail. The family would like to express special thanks to the staff of LTAC of Acadiana for their loving care that was given to their loved one.
