New Iberia " Funeral services will be conducted for Ashton Andrew Deshotel, 1 year old infant, on Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Father Salvino Ruben Prirmor officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will begin on Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at 4:00 PM until 10:00 PM and resume on Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at 8:00 AM until services. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Tuesday at 6:30 PM.

A resident of New Iberia, Ashton died on Monday, July 16, 2007 at 10:55 AM in New Iberia.

He is survived by his parents, David and Jenny Duplantis Deshotel; his brothers, Kaleb Deshotel and Gage Migues; his maternal grandmother, Cindy Dubois Romero; his paternal grandmother, Dorothy Deshotel; his paternal grandfather, Edward Deshotel; his maternal grandmother, Dolly Duplantis; his maternal great grandparents, Leroy and Laura Duplantis, Edwin and Peggy Dubois all of New Iberia and Wilson and Irene Guidry of Crowley. He is also survived by his godmother, Kristi Romero; his godfather, Damon LeBlanc; his maternal aunt, Monica Russo; his paternal uncles, John Deshotel and Tim Deshotel and a special friend and caretaker, Andrea Mitchell all of New Iberia and several step aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Terry Duplantis and his aunt, Ashley Duplantis.

Pallbearers will be his godparents, Damon LeBlanc and Kristi Romero.

David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
