LOVING AUNT

There is an ending To every beginning But in between There was beautiful living.

New Iberia"A private memorial service for Margaret Keiffer Greiber, 89, of New Iberia, will be conducted at a later date.

Mrs. Greiber passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at 6:40 P.M. in her residence.

Mrs. Greiber was born on August 11, 1917 in Halkirk, Alberta, Canada to Stephen B. and Ida Matilda Danielson Keiffer. She moved to Los Angeles, CA in 1953, where she worked as an office supervisor for Farmers Insurance Company for 25 years. After retiring from Farmers Insurance Company, Mrs. Greiber moved to Detroit, MI, and later to Deltona, FL, where she lived for 22 years. She moved to New Iberia three years ago to live with her niece, Janet Crabtree. Mrs. Greiber was a gourmet cook and to eat at her table was to dine with elegance.

Surviving to remember Mrs. Greiber are her nieces, Janet Crabtree of New Iberia, Maureen Peterson and husband, William of Maple Valley, WA, Debbie Rich and husband, Chris of Silverdale, WA, Marilyn Olsen and husband, Del of Edmonton, Canada, and Loriane Chase of Winnipeg, Canada; nephews, Dalbert Edworthy of Yale, Canada, Philip Gable and wife, Jodie of Seattle, WA, and Dennis and Colin Keiffer of Chilliwack, Canada; grand-nephew, Tony Crabtree and wife, Martha of New Iberia; and her beloved cat, Florida.

Preceding Mrs. Greiber in death were her first husband, Nick Chillebek; second husband, Philip Greiber; and parents, Stephen B. and Ida Matilda Danielson Keiffer.

In loving memory of a beautiful lady with a lively spirit and a heart of gold, the family has requested that memorial donations be made to Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care, 336 Heather Drive, Suite 1, Opelousas, LA 70570.

David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
