LOVING MOTHER AND SISTER New Iberia"Funeral services for Faye Romero Bonin, 65, of New Iberia will be conducted on Friday, March 30, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. in David Funeral Home Chapel. Deacon John Sarkies will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 29, 2007 from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. in David Funeral Home, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. Visitation will continue on Friday from 8:00 A.M. until service time in the funeral home. Faye went to be with her Lord after a brief illness on Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at 9:52 P.M. in a local hospital. A native of New Iberia, Faye was a graduate of Mt. Carmel Catholic School and a member of the Catholic faith. She lived for a time in Germany, where she learned the German language so well that she could pass for a native speaker. A very creative and talented lady, Faye wrote poetry, some of which was published. She was a talented craftsperson who loved to crochet for friends and family. Survivors include a son, Mark Alan Bonin and wife, Laura of Redondo Beach, CA; sisters, Gerry R. Baird and husband, Dan of Shreveport and Gail R. Mayard and husband, Sonny of Abbeville; aunt, Lou R. McDowell of New Iberia; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, Roy J. and Pearl R. Romero. Serving as pallbearers are friends and family members. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Fayes special caregivers, Rena Mouton, Ella Mae LeBlanc, and Andy Gott. David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
