Abbeville " Funeral Services for Charles Lester Buddy Trahan, 61, will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at 3:00PM at David Funeral Chapel of Abbeville with Fr. Kenneth Mayne officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Wednesday, February 28, 2007 from 9:00AM until the time of the services. Interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.

Mr. Trahan a native and resident of Abbeville died Monday, February 26, 2007 at 12:30PM at a Lafayette Hospital. He worked for Tobias, and Broussard Brothers on crew boats, and was know for his enjoyment of reading and gathering with his friends. He also served two tours in Vietnam.

He is survived by his daughter, Tanya Melancon and her husband Troy of Kaplan; three step-children, Dwayne Hebert of Abbeville, Danielle Hebert of Dallas, TX, and Darvin Hebert of Kaplan; four sisters, Anna Mae Broussard of Abbeville, Freda Jones of Houston, TX, Diana Broussard of Maurice, and Cindy Laviolette of Erath; six brothers, Glenwood, Ronald, Shelly, Anthony and Clarence James Trahan all of Abbeville, and Richard Trahan of Youngsville; eighteen grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Sharia Curole Trahan; his parents, Clarence and Gladys Comeaux Trahan; and a sister Deborah Trahan Delcambre.

Pallbearers will be Randy Trahan, Daniel Trahan, Shelly Trahan, Darvin Hebert, Chris Broussard, and Ronald Trahan.

Honorary pallbearers will be Glenwood Trahan, Steven Broussard, and Leroy Trahan, Ean Thibodeaux.
