Lafayette- A memorial service celebrating the life and faith of Bobby Alford Ouzts, 57 will be held on Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at 6:30pm at David Funeral Home Chapel of Lafayette. Brother Charles Thevis will conduct the Memorial service.
Bobby was born in Cleveland, Mississippi on January 27, 1950 and went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at 12:30 am at Iberia Medical Center in New Iberia. He worked diligently as a service representative for Halliburton for twenty-eight plus years. Bobby was characterized by all who knew him as a man who was unselfish in serving the needs of others, always caring for the well being of his family and friends before himself.
He is survived by his wife Marsha "Kay" Sims Ouzts of Broussard; a daughter, Tina Mishell Sloan and her husband Gerald Lee of Broussard; his grandchildren, ZZ Shell Sloan and Ziggy Lee Sloan of Broussard; his brothers, Ralph Donald Ouzts and his wife Becky, Everett Lavell Ouzts and his wife Sheila, Malcolm B. Ouzts, Harold M. Ouzts and his wife Pam, and Charles D. Ouzts and his wife Vivian; two sisters, Patricia J. Tindle and her husband George, and Barbara A. Walker; also two very special friends Penny Young and Jay Domingue.
Bobby is preceded in death by his father, Marshal Clarence Ouzts and his mother, Jenny Lynn Alford, Bobbys twin brother, Billy Joe Ouzts, his maternal grandparents, Mr. And Mrs. Zakery Alford and his paternal grandparents, Mr. And Mrs. David Ouzts.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers monetary donations be made to St. Jude Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tn. 38105 - 1942.
