LOVING MOTHER, GRANDMOTHER, AND GREATGRANDMOTHER New Iberia"A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Mitchell G. Boudreaux, the former Elia Moore, 89, of New Iberia will be celebrated on Saturday, April 14, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. in St. Marcellus Catholic Church, Rynella, LA. The Reverend Donovan Labbe will serve as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Marcellus Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 13, 2007 from 4:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. in David Funeral Home, with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 P.M. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 8:00 A.M. until service time in the funeral home. Mrs. Boudreaux passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2007 at 8:48 P.M. in a New Iberia hospital. A native and lifelong resident of Iberia Parish, Mrs. Boudreaux was a member of St. Marcellus Catholic Church, St. Anne Altar Society, various prayer groups, including Upper Room Prayer Group, and was a catechism teacher. She and her late husband visited the sick and elderly at local hospitals and nursing homes, and she always had only kind words to say about anyone. Mrs. Boudreaux became a surrogate mother to her nieces and nephews when her siblings passed away. She enjoyed flower gardening and her family will attest to her wonderful cooking. Survivors include her daughters, Mary Lee LeBlanc and husband, Philip of New Iberia, Peggy Taylor and husband, Dan of Chattanooga, TN, and Phyllis Hulin and husband, Harold of New Iberia; sons, Ronald Boudreaux and wife, Fran of Hot Springs Village, AR, Roland Boudreaux and wife, Faye of New Iberia, Raymond Boudreaux, Sr. and wife, Barbara of Rynella, Relius Boudreaux and wife, Becky of New Iberia, and Kenneth Boudreaux and wife, AnnaBelle of New Iberia; sisters, Grace Moore Walker of New Iberia, Lelia LeBlanc and husband, B.J. of New Iberia, and Lillian Adams and husband, Warren of New Iberia; 26 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren. Preceding Mrs. Boudreaux in death were her husband, Mitchell G. Boudreaux; parents, Elie Bib and Bertha Segura Moore; sisters, Eula Lacoste and Lucille Broussard; twin sister, Ada Boudreaux; and brothers, Elias, Ellis, Amar, and Lee Moore. Serving as pallbearers are Mitch Boudreaux, Jude Boudreaux, Gervais Boudreaux, Jeffrey Boudreaux, Raymond Boudreaux, Jr., Dusty Hulin, and Jarrod Derouen. David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
