Loreauville " Funeral services will be conducted for Robert P. Verret Sr., 72, at 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 15, 2007, at David Funeral Home Chapel with Robin J. Verret officiating.

Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery in Loreauville. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2007, from 11:00 AM until 10:00 PM and resume on Thursday, March 15, 2007, from 8:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.

Robert Verret, a loving husband, father and grandfather, is a native of Lafayette and a life long resident of Loreauville. Mr. Verret died at 9:08 PM on Monday, March 12, 2007, in a Lafayette hospital. Mr. Verret retired from Unocal Drilling after 25 years as a Drilling Foreman.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Toffier Verret of Loreauville; four sons, Robert Verret Jr. and his wife Mary of Lafayette, Robin Verret and his wife Paula of Milton, Stuart Verret of Loreauville and Corey Verret and his wife Katherine of Loreauville; one daughter, Marlene Verret and her financee Tim of Loreauville; three brothers, Roy Verret of Arizona, Beauregard Bill Verret of Lafayette and Donald Verret of Texas; three sisters, Goldie Mayes of Carencro, Virginia Landry and Shirley Frederick both of Loreauville; grandchildren, Aimee Lightfoot and her husband Jonathan of Texas, Christy Sheets and her husband Andy of Lafayette, Ryan Verret of Texas, Christopher Perry and his wife Dottie of Youngsville, Matthew Perry, Stephen Verret, Philip Verret all of Lafayette, Laura Verret of Milton, Trey Verret, Valerie Verret and Ethan Verret all of Loreauville; great-grandchildren, Jackson and Kennedy Lightfoot of Texas, Ella and Grace Sheets of Lafayette and Emma Grace and Isabelle Perry of Youngsville.

Pallbearers will be Stuart Verret, Corey Verret, Tim Smith, Robert Verret, Jr., Robin Verret, Stephen Verret, Philip Verret and Ryan Verret.

David Funeral Home of Loreauville is in charge of the arrangements.
