LOVING FATHER

New Iberia"Funeral services for Charles Ward Charley Braun, Sr. 58, of Lydia will be held on Friday, March 16, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. in David Funeral Home Chapel. The Reverend Pat Wadsworth will officiate. Entombment will follow in St. Nicholas Mausoleum, Patoutville.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2007 from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. in David Funeral Home, and will continue on Friday from 8:00 A.M. until service time in the funeral home.

Mr. Braun passed away on Monday, March 12, 2007 at 8:35 A.M. in a New Iberia hospital.

A native of Oklahoma City, OK, Mr. Braun had lived in the New Iberia area since 1980. He served in the United States Army Reserve, and had attended churches of various denominations throughout his life. Mr. Braun worked on offshore oilrigs for a while, and later worked as a pool technician for Crickets Pool and Spa Company. He enjoyed outdoor activities, and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Survivors include his son, Charles Ward Braun, II of New Iberia; daughters, Anita Marie Braun of New Iberia and Jessica Picard of New Iberia; former wife, Mrs. Raymond (Juanita) Minvielle of New Iberia; sisters, Christy L. Seaton of Edmond, OK and Susan Miller-Tiernan and husband, George of Guthrie, OK; niece, Robbyn Allen of Oklahoma City, OK; uncles, Willard Rhynes and wife, Martha of Ada, OK and Norval Rose of Bethany, OK; and numerous other relatives, friends, and hunting buddies.

Preceding Mr. Braun in death are his wife, Janet Lopez Braun;and parents, Carl Ward Braun and Laura Lee Collins Braun.

Serving as pallbearers are Rusty Gary, Sylvester Lopez, Jr., Jack Romero, Rudy Migues, James Simon, and Clint Romero. Named as honorary pallbearers are Brent Luent, Jerry Seaton, and George Tiernan.

David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
