New Iberia- Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. James Breaux, Sr. the former Thelma Champagne, Age 70, at 11:00AM Saturday March 24, 2007 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Father Salvino Ruben Primor officiating. Interment will be in Holy Family Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday March 23, 2007 from 3:00PM till 10:00PM with a Rosary at 6:30PM and again Saturday from 8:00AM till time of Service.
Mrs. Breaux was a native and lifelong resident of New Iberia who enjoyed gardening and cooking and she loved birds.
She is survived by her husband; James Breaux, Sr. of New Iberia, two daughters; Lisa Breaux Adshire and Melanie Ann Breaux both of New Iberia, five sons; Robert Irving Jr. of Helena, Montana, Kalem Irving of Metairie, La., Samuel Irving III of New Iberia, James Breaux, Jr. of Abbeville and Bobby Breaux of Meaux, La., two sisters; Loula Champagne Thomas and Lucille Champagne Dugas both of New Iberia and two brothers; Harold Champagne and Andrew Champagne both of New Iberia, Seventeen Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents, Valcour and Alida Romero Champagne, three sisters; Willa Champagne Delhomme, Ruby Champagne and Lavinia Champagne Fairly and four brothers; Othwaite Champagne, Edwin Champagne, Henry Champagne and Jim Champagne.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Irving, Blake Irving, Samuel Irving IV, Blake LaBiche, Kenneth Champagne and Len Broussard. Honorary pallbearers will be Tance Irving, Dwight Champagne, Matthew Khosropour, Ryan Breaux and Kelly Breaux.
David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
