Lafayette-Services for Dr. Floyd Joseph Stoute, 75, will be conducted Friday, March, 23, 2007 at David Funeral Home at 316 Youngsville Highway, Lafayette, Louisiana with Fr. Bill Gearheard officiating.

Visiting hours will be observed from 10:00 AM with the service being held at David Funeral Home at 2:00 PM.

Dr. Stoute was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served his country during the Korean Conflict. He also served and retired from the U.S. National Guard Reserves serving his country domestically during Desert Storm. Dr. Stoute was a life long educator retiring from the Lafayette Parish School System teaching English and Social Studies at Breaux Bridge Jr. High, Lafayette Middle School, St. Leo Seton and Youngsville Elementary. Dr. Stoute received Undergraduate and Graduate Degrees from the University of Southwestern Louisiana and a PHD (Doctorate in Education) from the University of Houston. He also attended Louisiana State University. In his retirement years he helped his wife Pat deliver advertisements for her Real Estate Listings.

Dr. Stoute is survived by his wife of 43 years, Patricia L. Fousse Stoute; a daughter, Stacey P. Stoute Frederick and her husband Danny Frederick; a son Gregory Joseph Stoute and his wife Lauren Stoute; a son Douglas Jerome Stoute and two granddaughters, Jordan Nicole Frederick and Sydney Taylor Frederick.

Dr. Stoute was preceded in death by his father Wallace Stoute; his mother Louisa Guidry Stoute; his brother Donald Paul Stoute; his sister Vickie Stoute Hoskins; infant brother Joseph Stoute and infant son Dean Anthony Stoute.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Stacey Frederick, Greg Stoute, Doug Stoute, Danny Frederick, Lauren Stoute and Robbie Krowngold.

Dr. Stoute loved to watch his LSU Tigers, New Orleans Saints Football and spending time with his family and granddaughters.
