New Iberia ~ Funeral Services will be conducted for Mr. Edmund R. Comeaux, Sr., 81 at 2:00 PM Tuesday March 27, 2007 in the David Funeral Home Chapel With Deacon John Sarkies officiating. Interment will follow in St. Peters Catholic Cemetery. Mr. Comeaux died Sunday March 25, 2007 at 4:20 AM in a Lafayette Care Facility. Visiting hours will be observed Tuesday March 27, 2007 from 11:00 AM until time of services. Mr.. Comeaux was a native and lifelong resident of New Iberia. He was a retired Funeral Director and Embalmer and served as Manager of David Funeral Home for 30years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served from 1946 to 1947. Mr. Comeaux is survived by wife Betty Fages Comeaux of Lafayette, his children Ed Comeaux, Jr. of Coteau, Guy P. Comeaux and his wife Amy of Lafayette, and Todd J. Comeaux and his wife Darlene of New Iberia, his grandchildren Brooke Comeaux of Coteau, Shannon Comeaux of Baton Rouge, Eric, Ryan, Michelle, and Spencer Comeaux all of Lafayette and Jacques Comeaux of Broussard, his great grandchildren Brock Minville and Triston Mabry both of Coteau and Evan Comeaux of Lafayette and a brother Chester J. Comeaux of New Iberia Mr. Comeaux was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur J. Comeaux and Antonia Pesson Comeaux, and his sisters Macie C. Dubois, Bobbi Comeaux, and Dorothy Comeaux. Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends.
