New Iberia " Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Carol E. Broussard, Sr., 75, the former Gladys Babe Dugas on Thursday, March 29, 2007 at 10:30 AM at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church with Fr. J. Wilson Matt officiating. Interment will follow in Nativity of Our Lady Mausoleum.

Visitation will begin on Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Thursday, March 29, 2007 at 8:00 AM until services. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Wednesday at 7:00 PM.

A native of Loreauville, Mrs. Broussard was a resident of New Iberia. She died on Monday, March 26, 2007 at 9:30 PM in a local hospital. She was a school bus attendant for 11 years on her husbands bus for the Iberia Parish School System. She loved sewing, shopping and the outdoors.

She is survived by her two sons: Carol E. Broussard, Jr. and his fiancee Christi Winn, Dale P. Broussard and his wife Dawn; sister, Ann Thibodeaux; and grandsons, Andrew, Brennon and Brandon Broussard all of New Iberia. She was also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carol E. Broussard, Sr.; her father, ONeil Dugas; her mother, Ozea Chataignier Dugas; her brother, Vernice Dugas and her sisters, Irene Oubre and Agnes Vincent.

Pallbearers will be Carol E. Broussard, Jr., Dale P. Broussard, Andrew Broussard, Bobby Vincent, Rickey Derouen and Jude Chataignier.

Honorary pallbearers will be Brennon and Brandon Broussard.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations in memory of Mrs. Broussard to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation 9141 Interline Drive Suite 4A Baton Rouge, LA 70809.
