Dewey Rudolph Darby

November 4, 1926 — March 31, 2007

Lafayette - Mr. Darby, age 80, passed away on Saturday March 31, 2007 at 10:25 PM, at Camelot of Broussard. Mr.Darby was a native of Chester, South Carolina and a resident of Broussard, La. He was a 27 year Veteran of the United States Navy. There will be no local funeral services. Mr. Darby will have a Naval Burial at sea and a Memorial Service in Clinton, S.C. at a future date. Survivors include his daughters, Ana Boudreaux and her husband Perry of Lafayette, La., Laura Hoce and her husband Brian of Greenwood, S.C.; and Markia Goodway of Portsmouth, Va.; one brother Jerry Darby of Manassas, Va.; one sister Brenda Darby of South Carolina; five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. The family wishes donations to be made to Hospice of Acadiana instead of flowers. David Funeral Home of Lafayette is on charge of arrangements .
