LOVING WIFE AND MOTHER

New Iberia"Funeral services for Mrs. Oscar Warfel, the former Annette Marie Richard, 52, of New Iberia will be conducted on Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. in David Funeral Home Chapel. Deacon Jimmy Wilson will officiate. Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 2, 2007 from 4:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. in David Funeral Home, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. Visitation will continue on Tuesday from 8:00 A.M. until service time in the funeral home.

Mrs. Warfel passed away on Sunday, April 01, 2007 at 6:05 A.M. in a New Iberia hospital.

A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Warfel was a member of the Catholic Faith. She was a former employee of Pellerin Tubular Service, where he worked as office manager for several years. Mrs. Warfel enjoyed motorcycling, camping, and spending time at the beach. She was a talented calligrapher, who enjoyed writing down her life experiences. An animal lover, Mrs. Warfel especially loved her dogs, Missy, Bear, Capri, and M&M. Her greatest joy, however, was caring for and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Oscar Warfel of New Iberia; sons, Jude Warfel of New Iberia and Chad Warfel and companion, Sara Carter of New Iberia; mother, Georgie Vice Richard of New Iberia; brother, Johnny Richard and wife, Patty of San Antonio, TX; sister, Melinda Arrington and husband, Fred of Raleigh, NC; a grandchild on the way; nieces, Shawn Primeaux and husband, Torey of New Iberia, Leah Doiron of Jacksonville, FL, Michelle Sprague and husband, Kevin of Loveland, CO; a nephew, John Richard and wife, Becky of Denver, CO; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death was her father, Louis Richard.

Serving as pallbearers are Chad and Clyde Warfel, Byron Peltier, Keith Martin, Grayling Vice, and Robert Good.

David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
