Nanee New Iberia " Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2007 for Mrs. Robert D. Johnson, 85 the former Edelia Freyou at 10:00 AM in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve LeBlanc officiating. Interment followed at Beau Pre Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will held on Friday, April 27, 2007 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and reopened on Saturday, April 28, 2007 at 8:00 AM until services. A rosary was prayed in the funeral home on Friday at 7:00 PM. Mrs. Johnson died on Thursday, April 26, 2007 at 5:50 PM in a New Iberia nursing facility. She was a native of Adeline and a longtime resident of New Iberia. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of V.F.W. Post 1982 of New Iberia, a lifetime member of Omega Soriety and she enjoyed sewing, playing cards, scrabble and cooking for her family. She was a very kind, gentle soul and will be missed dearly by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Robert D. Johnson of New Iberia; daughters, Lois D. Landry and her husband Gerald of New Iberia, Tilda J. Judice and her husband Darrell of Loreauville and Colleen J. Mayers and her husband Val K. of Gulf Shores, AL; brothers, Roy Freyou of Loreauville and Whitney Freyou of New Iberia; granddaughters, Anastasia L. Gisclair and her husband Paul of Broussard, Jenny Landry and her husband Michael Parrie of Baton Rouge, Autumn V. Karlinsky and her husband Fred of Weston, FL, Summer Vaughn of Panama City Beach, FL and Adrienne J. Landry and her husband Patrick of Loreauville; grandsons, Andre Judice of Lafayette and Brad N. Judice of Loreauville; great grandsons, Andrew Gisclair, Alex Gisclair both of Broussard and Spencer Karlinsky of Weston, FL and great granddaughters, Olivia Landry of Loreauville and Allie Karlinsky of Weston, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Simon Freyou and Anastasia Broussard Freyou; brothers, Sidney, Winnie, Leodias, Leodas, Robert, George and William Freyou; sisters, Sophie F. Bonin, Aussie F. Crochet, Noemie F. Buteau, Leah Freyou, Eunice F. Romero and Stella F. Martin. Pallbearers were Gerald Landry, Henry Martin, Andrew Gisclair, Andre Judice, Brad Judice and Darrell Judice. Honorary pallbearers were Roy Freyou, Whitney Freyou, Alex Gisclair, Patrick Landry and Val Mayers.
