Mr. White or Pete as most people knew him, was born in Monroe, LA on December 29, 1934 and died peacefully at his home in Broussard, Louisiana on Saturday, April 14, 2007. Pete was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He served in the United States Air Force from December 1951 to December 1955, one of those years was spent in Korea. Pete was an owner/operator in oilfield trucking for over thirty years. Pete loved the outdoors, especially fishing on the Quachita River. His favorite pastimes were cutting logs and trees with his chain saw, tinkering with his tools, building and crafting various projects, mechanicing and cutting grass on his tractor. He knew a little bit about most everything and there wasnt anything that he couldnt fix or repair. A happy and cheerful man, Pete was always willing to help anyone in need, especially his church. A Christian man, he rarely missed Sunday school and church services and at times filled in for the pastor. He seemed to be the happiest when in Church or involved with projects and programs at the church. There was nothing more meaningful or devoted prayers than the prayers delivered by Mr. White.
