Lydia " A Mass of Christian Burial for Albert J. A.J. Jolet, Jr., 82, will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2007 at 2:00 PM at St. Nicholas Catholic Church with Msgr. Jace Eskind and Deacon Gerry Bourg officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of New Iberia on Wednesday, April 18, 2007 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00 PM. Visitation will resume at St. Nicholas Catholic Church on Thursday, April 19, 2007 from 10:00 AM until the time of the services. Interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Mausoleum in Charenton.

Mr. Jolet was a native of Weeks Island and a resident of Lydia, hedied on Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at 11:40 AM at Louisiana Extended Care of Lafayette. Mr. Jolet retired from Morton Chemical after over 39 years of service. After retirement he held several jobs including Big Mac Welding Service before he went to work at HOH-PAK where he retired again after 17 years of service.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Shirley Verret Jolet of Lydia; two daughters, Bronwyn Jolet of Lydia, and Ingrid Jolet of Lafayette; grandson, Stefan Jolet of Lafayette; great grandson, Alex Jolet of Lafayette; great granddaughter, Payton Aucoin of Lafayette; brother, Harris Jolet of New Iberia; and sister, Mildred Stroud of New Iberia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert J. Jolet, Sr. and Ellenie Derouen Jolet; and two brothers, Emmett and Raymond Jolet.

Pallbearers will be Stefan Jolet, David Lowry, Dirk Helton, Richard Goula, Ricky Prince and Floyd Jolet.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Alex Jolet, Payton Aucoin, and Robert DeKeyser, Dr. Beth Clarke, Dr. Darwin Hales, Dr. Eduardo Diaz, Dr. Charles Butler and the staff of HOH-PAK.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Louisiana Extended Care of Lafayette, Dr. Gary Guidry, Dr. Henry Kaufman IV, and Dr. Zeeke for thier loving care.
