New Iberia " Funeral services will be conducted for Clyde Ricks, 91, on Sunday, June 10, 2007 at 2:00 PM in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Neel, Pastor of First Assembly of God Church. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Saturday, June 9, 2007 beginning at 11:00 AM until 9:00 PM and resume on Sunday, June 10, 2007 at 8:00 AM until services.

A native of Sunny Hill, LA and a resident of New Iberia, Mr. Ricks died on Thursday, June 7, 2007 at 11:16 AM upon arrival at a New Iberia hospital. He served in the US Navy. He was a compressor mechanic in the oil field service industry and retired from Bethlehem Supply. He loved wood working and in particular he loved Jesus Christ.

He is survived by his daughter, Myrna Aucoin of New Iberia; his son, Clyde W. Ricks of Houston, TX; his sister, Aline Quin of Osakee, MS; his grandsons, Todd Aucoin of New Jersey and Seth Ricks of Houston, TX; his granddaughters, Tricia Aucoin, Lorrie Aucoin both of New Iberia and Farrah Huval of Youngsville and his great grandson, Trevor Aucoin.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Cuccio Ricks; his parents, Warren W. Ricks and Maude Brock Ricks; his sister, Mildred Ricks Bullock; and his brothers, Paul, Jesse and Robert Ricks.

Pallbearers will be Mark Landry, Beano Prudhomme, Guy Lavergne, Guy Patout, Rev. Ross Trahan and Rev. John Neel.

Honorary pallbearers will be Earl Richard, Dennis Bienvenu, Dr. Donald Blue, Jimmy Schwing, Jr., Jimmy Schwing, Sr. and Sonny Walet and James Naquin.

David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
