Loving Husband, Brother and Uncle New Iberia " Funeral Services will be conducted for Simon Migues, Age 87, at 11:00AM Monday May 21, 2007 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Lydia with Father Donovan Labbe officiating. Interment will follow in St. Nicholas Cemetery. Visitation will begin Sunday May 20, 2007 from 3:00PM till 9:00PM with a Rosary at 7:00PM at David Funeral Home in New Iberia and again Monday May 21, 2007 at St. Nicholas Church from 8:00AM till service time. He died Friday May 18, 2007 at 6:01PM in a local hospital. A native of Weeks Island Mr. Migues was a longtime resident of Lydia. He retired from Morton Salt as a foreman after 42 years of service. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, trawling, fishing and cooking. He loved and cared very much for his entire family. Survivors include his adopted daughter; Cindy Robillard and husband Larry of Breaux Bridge, granddaughter; Fallon Frederick and Fiance Eric Robin of Milton and grandson, Lance Robillard of Denham Springs, one brother; Ernest Migues of Lydia, three sisters; Edna Stroud of Verdunville, Nola Bouillon and husband Harris of Groves, Texas and Shirley Luent and husband Lee J. of Lydia. Survivors also include 35 Nieces and Nephews, 57 great nieces and nephews and 17 great great nieces and nephews and his loving pet, Bitsy . He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Landry Migues, his parents; Adolph and Elda Lopez Migues and three brothers; Leroy Wildman Migues, Edgar Migues, Sr. and Wilbert Bo-Boy Migues. Pallbearers will be Rayborn Lancon, Rudy Migues, Larry Migues, Billy Migues, Garland Stroud and Kevin Migues. Honorary pallbearers will be Glen Stroud, Eddie Rogers, Howard Rogers, James Simon III, Larry Robillard, Robert Rush, David Bouillon and all of his nephews. David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
