Loving Mother and Grandmother New Iberia " Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Chester Gary the former Vueola Dore Gary, Age 81, at 11:00AM Friday June 8, 2007 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Father Mark Derise officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Mausoleum. A Rosary will be prayed at 6:30PM. Visitation will be Thursday June 7, 2007 from 1:30PM till 11:00PM and again Friday from 8:00AM till service time. She died Wednesday June 6, 2007 at 6:35AM at Iberia Medical Center. A native of Coteau Mrs. Gary has been a resident of New Iberia most of her life. She worked as a nurses aid for Consolata and Heritage Manor North nursing homes and Erath General Hospital and for Dr.s Ken and Jill Brown. She enjoyed playing Bouree and Bingo. She loved cooking and taking care of her family. Survivors include her children; Donald Gary and wife Pat, Ronald Gary and companion Paula Lee, Penny LeBlanc and husband Lincoln and Eldora Gary and companion Lester Frederick all of New Iberia, sisters; Hazel Tate of Nederland, Texas, Lucy McLean and husband Charles of New Iberia and Stella Casale and husband Bobby of Freeport, Texas, sister-in-law; Betty Bourque of New Iberia, grandchildren; Scott Gary of Duson, Spence Gary of Crowley, Stacy Gary of Lafayette, Aimee Coon of Sunset, Chere Zsold of Tampa, Florida, Kristi Gary of Lafayette, Candie Landry of Broussard, Michelle Gary, Trey LeBlanc and Haley LeBlanc all of New Iberia, Shep Thibodeaux of Youngsville, Brent Thibodeaux of Carencro and Summer Bourque of Youngsville and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; Chester Gary, parents; Etienne and Olive Viator Dore, brothers; Freddie, Jerry, George and Francis Dore, sisters; Beulah and Mildred Kulify, a niece Christine Kulify and a great grandchild; Courtney Gary. Pallbearers will be Ronald and Donald Gary, Lincoln and Trey LeBlanc, Spence Gary, Anthony Theriot and Shep and Brent Thibodeaux. Honorary pallbearers will be Scott and Stacy Gary, Lester Frederick, Charles McLean, Troy Bourque, Cory Landry and Steven Coon. David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
