Youngsville " A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Floyd Menard, 79, will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, December 27, 2008 at St. Anne Catholic Church in Youngsville with Father Jason Mouton officiating. Visitation was held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Friday, December 26, 2008 from 5:00PM until 9:00PM, with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday, December 27, 2008 at 8:00AM until the time of the services. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Lafayette. A native of Carencro and resident of Youngsville, Mr. Menard passed away at 6:58PM on Thursday, December 25, 2008 at his residence. He was a Fourth Degree Knight of Colombus and an usher at St. Anne Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Hilda Romero Menard of Youngsville; two sons, Kenneth James Menard and wife, Marla of Leesville and Michael Menard and wife, Marie of Youngsville; five grandchildren, Cammie Menard of New Jersey, Tracy Menard of Hawaii, Jason M. Menard of Alaska, Christopher A. Menard of Lafayette, and Benjamin J. Menard of Youngsville; two brothers, Lawrence Menard of Lafayette and Alvin Menard and wife, Hilda of Youngsville; and one sister, Belvadine Costello and husband, Greg of Youngsville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie Menard, Sr. and Gladys Cormier Menard; three brothers, Eddie Menard, Jr., Aaron Menard, and Earl Menard; and one sister, Anna Grace Menard Bourque.
