Coteau " A Mass of Christian Burial for Earl A. Pun Landry, 76, will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2007 at 1:00PM at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church with Fr. Barry Crochet officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Erath on Friday, June 15, 2007 from 3:00PM until 10:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 6:00PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday, June 16, 2007 from 8:00AM until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery. Mr. Landry a native of Broussard and a resident of Coteau died Thursday, June 14, 2007 at 6:00PM at a Lafayette Hospital. He grew up farming sugar cane until he was in his 40s, at which time he took a job at Southern Structures where he worked over 14 years before he went to Red Fox where he worked as a Tool Room Manager. He left Red Fox and began to help his wife run Chastant and Breauxs General Store that they owned. He was also a member of the Erath American Legion having served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his loving wife, Eldred LeBlanc Landry of Coteau, his twin sons, Larry James Landry and his wife Angela of Coteau, and Barry John Landry and his wife Ellen of Coteau; and five grandchildren, Keisha Landry of Lafayette, Dustin, Chase, Mindi, and Katlyn Landry all of Coteau. He was preceded in death by his parent, Simonette and Amanda Romero Landry. Serving as pallbearers will be his family and friends. David Funeral Home of Erath will be handling the arrangements
