Robert D. Johnson

January 20, 1926 — June 2, 2007

New Iberia " Funeral Services will be conducted for Mr. Robert D. Johnson, Age 81, at 11:00AM Monday June 4, 2007 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Steve LeBlanc officiating. Interment will follow in Beau Pre Mausoleum. He died Saturday June 2, 2007 at 10:10AM at his residence. Visitation will be Sunday June 3, 2007 from 5:00PM till 9:00PM with a Rosary at 7:00PM and again Monday from 8:00AM till time of service.

A native of Smackover, Arkansas he was raised in Arp, Texas and has been a resident of New Iberia for many years. He was retired from Exxon and was a member of VFW Post 1982 having served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.

The family would like to express their appreciation to all his devoted caregivers. Memorial contributions can be made in Mr. Johnson's name to Hospice of Acadiana, 2600 Johnston St., Suite 200, Lafayette, La. 70503

Survivors include three daughters; Lois D. Landry and husband Gerald of New Iberia, Tilda J. Judice and husband Darrell of Loreauville and Colleen J. Mayers and husband Val K. of Gulf Shores, Alabama, one sister; Marye Partin of San Diego, California, Granddaughters; Anastasia L. Gisclair and husband Paul of Broussard, Jenny Landry and husband Michael Parrie of Baton Rouge, Autumn V. Karlinsky and husband Fred of Weston, Florida, Summer Vaughn of Panama City Beach, Florida and Adrienne J. Landry and husband Patrick of Loreauville, Grandsons Andr Judice ofLafayette and Brad N. Judice of Loreauville, Great Grandsons; Andrew and Alex Gisclair of Broussard, Great Granddaughters; Olivia Landry of Loreauville and Allie Karlinsky of Weston, Florida and a Great Grandson; Spencer Karlinsky of Weston, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Edelia Freyou Johnson who recently died April 26, 2007,parents; Homer Johnson and Erma Halpin Delaune, his stepfather Lester J. Delaune and a brother Paul H. Johnson.

Pallbearers will be Gerald Landry, Henry Martin, Andrew Gisclair, Andre Judice, Brad Judice and Darrell Judice. Honorary Pallbearers will be Michael Parrie, Alex Gisclair, Patrick Landry and Val Mayers.
