Lafayette " Funeral Services for Mrs. Fred J. Landry, Sr. the former Vivian Berard, 84, will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Peter Emusa officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette beginning on Tuesday, November 20, 2007 from 4:00PM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, November 21, 2007 from 8:00AM until the time of the services. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Mausoleum of Broussard.

Mrs. Landry, a native of Loreauville and a resident of Lafayette, died at 11:00AM on Sunday, November 18, 2007 at Maison de Lafayette Nursing Home. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be greatly missed by her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Fred J. Landry, Sr. of Lafayette; three sons, Clyde Landry and his wife Elizabeth of Lafayette, Fred J. Landry, Jr. and his wife Rebbecca of Lafayette and Ricky Landry of Lafayette; four daughters, Patricia and her husband Wesley Broussard of Beaumont, TX, Bonnie and her husband Harry Thibodeaux of Lafayette, Fay and her husband Rodney Dugas of Lafayette and Judy and her husband Michael Arceneaux of Lafayette; two sisters, Agnes B. Dugas of Loreauville and Ethel B. Laperouse of St. Martinville; a brother, Allen Berard of Coteau Holmes; seventeen grandchildren, Michele Louise Landry, Renee Marie Landry, Aimee Elizabeth Landry, Heath Jude Landry, Angela Merici Broussard, Michelle Anne Broussard, Harry Louis Thibodeaux, Jr., Travis Paul Thibodeaux, Shane Anthony Dugas, Brandon Jude Dugas, Brad Elliot Landry, Joshua Paul Landry, Amber Nichole Arceneaux, Lex Michael Arceneaux, Andrew Lee Landry, Alexander James Landry, and Lacey Vivian Marie Rebollo; and twelve great-grandchildren, Heath Jude Broussard, II, Gabriella Elizabeth Broussard, Sarah Merci Foster, Cole Michael Foster, Brittney Leah Stewart, Kayla Marie Theriot, Vivian Alyse Thibodeaux, Zacery Braden Thobodeaux, Hunter Antony Dugas, Falyn Nichol Dugas, Taylor Reed Landry, and Beaux Thibodeaux.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis Felix and Agnes Blanchard Berard; a son, Michael Landry; two sisters, Loudae B. Faucheaux and Irene B. Boudreaux; and three brothers, Albert Berard, Lindon Berard and Lennet Berard.

Serving as pallbearers will be Aimee Landry, Brad Landry, Heath Broussard, Harry Thibodeaux, Jr., Shane Dugas, Andrew Landry, Lex Arceneaux and Amber Arceneaux.

Michele Landry, granddaughter of Mrs. Landry, will be the reader.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Maison de Lafayette Nursing Home and Hospice of Acadiana. In Lieu of flowers, the family requets that donations be made to Hospice of Acadiana at 2600 Johnston Street, Suite 200, Lafayette, La. 70503.
